A Sixth Form Journey: Sophia’s Story
Sophia reflects on her Cheltenham College journey and Oxford offer.
In this short film, Lower Sixth pupil Sophia shares her experience of joining Cheltenham College and the journey that has led to her receiving an offer from the University of Oxford.
Having joined the College in the Lower Sixth, Sophia quickly became part of the vibrant and welcoming community. She reflects on how the supportive environment and strong sense of belonging helped her settle in and make the most of her time at College.
Alongside her academic studies, Sophia has embraced the wide range of opportunities available, becoming actively involved in several societies and activities. From exploring new interests to developing her confidence and leadership skills, these experiences have played an important role in shaping her Sixth Form journey.
Sophia also highlights the encouragement and guidance she has received from staff throughout the university application process. Their support has helped her navigate the challenges of applying to a highly competitive university and ultimately secure an offer from Oxford.
Her story is a wonderful example of how pupils at Cheltenham College are encouraged to pursue their ambitions, explore their interests and take full advantage of the many opportunities available to them.
