Charity Weekend 2026

Pupils across the College came together for a weekend of fundraising, raising thousands for their chosen charities.

Over the weekend, pupils across Cheltenham College took part in a range of fundraising events in support of their House charities, raising an impressive amount for important causes.

Christowe House completed a remarkable 24-hour continuous run in support of InCourage and Lupus UK, demonstrating resilience and teamwork while raising around £4,000 in direct donations. The wider charity events across the weekend are expected to have raised more than £8,000.

Other Houses also hosted a variety of events. Chandos, Leconfield and Southwood organised a lively Casino Night in support of Winston’s Wish, while Ashmead, Christowe, Queen’s and Westal joined together for a ‘Night at the Races’, raising £8,500 through race betting and a silent auction.

Newick House raised funds for Maggie’s by cooking and delivering 140 pizzas across College before completing a challenging 17.43km run on Sunday, marking the 1,743 lives lost to cancer in Gloucestershire last year. They have raised over £3,500 so far and are aiming to reach £4,500.

It was wonderful to see so many parents joining the events across the weekend, showing incredible enthusiasm and generosity. The weekend was a brilliant example of the Cheltenham College community spirit in action, with pupils, staff and families coming together to support a range of meaningful charities.
