Young mathematicians come together for a day of problem-solving and teamwork

Cheltenham College’s Maths Department hosted the annual Maths Challenge for Year 5 and 6 pupils, welcoming 27 teams from 14 schools.

The event showcased impressive mathematical thinking across a range of rounds, including logic problems, group challenges, cross numbers and a fast-paced Relay round, testing both individual skill and teamwork.

Cheltenham Prep pupils took part with great enthusiasm and confidence, engaging fully with the challenges throughout the day. Congratulations also go to Berkhamsted School, whose Year 6 team achieved an outstanding overall result, winning both competitions with a score of 272 out of 281.
